Our Story

From 1989 to 2005 William Edgerton created and published the WINE PRICE FILE, the largest available listing of retail and auction prices of wine in print at that time, described by the renowned wine critic Robert M. Parker Jr., as “An essential source of current information on the value of fine wine.”

From 2006 through 2018 he founded and maintained the website wineauctionprices.com, which provided detailed results from major wine auctions worldwide. This was one of the world’s largest compilations of wine auction results available to the public and contained about 600,000 entries. After noting a boom in collectable spirits sales, in 2018 he created the SPIRITS PRICE FILE, one of the largest databases of recent spirits auction prices.

Annie began assisting her father with wine appraisals before she was legally able to drink. This work was initially her "day job" as she grew her other career, as a performer (she has appeared on Broadway, regional theatres, National and International tours, film, and TV, and has sung the National Anthem for 29 of the 30 Major League Baseball teams.)

As her interest in wine and spirits grew, Annie quickly pursued numerous certifications, and took on a larger role with the family business, as well as becoming a sought-after wine and spirits educator, writer, and media host. Combining both careers, she is the creator and host of BROADWAY BUZZED on YouTube, and performs the one-woman show-and-wine-class, CABARET SAUVIGNON.

In 2023, Annie took over the family business as CEO and formed Edgerton Wine Appraisals LLC. In 2025, she represented the company on the entrepreneurial boot camp reality competition show THE BLOX, and was the winner of Season 22.
